The Christmas Story 14

Matthew 2:3

and all Jerusalem with him.

Herod was a violent, intolerant ruler who would do anything to gain and maintain power. The magi brought upsetting news. They sought out a King and it wasn’t Herod. He would be replaced. These strange, exotic mystics from the East stated the obvious. Your time is limited. This baby, this innocent child threatened to collapse a King and his Kingdom.

How does Jesus threaten you? This is a strange question, maybe. However, you are King or Queen of your life. You sit on a throne and rule you’re Kingdom, your life, your thoughts. Get off of your throne, abandon your kingdom and join the wise men that search for the true King. Bring the gift of your life to Him.
